    Aleris is a global leader in the manufacture and sale of aluminum rolled products, with approximately 14 facilities in three geographically aligned business units in North America, Europe and China. We serve a variety of end-use industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, building and construction, transportation, packaging, and consumer goods.


    Our Inside Sales team is seeking to add a talented and dynamic Inside Sales Representative to our Beachwood, Ohio office. The purpose of this role is to provide superior quality service to our customers through effective, measurable administration of processes that affect our customer base while also protecting the interests of the business. This is an entry level position offering exposure and development within several business functions through daily interactions. Aleris prides itself on being an industry leader in Customer Service and we are looking for candidates that have a passion to continue that performance.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Adhere to all Health and Safety programs, including taking personal ownership over daily actions that drive to a zero (0) incident culture. Lead and participate in RPNA 6S Audits. Volunteer a safety contact at the beginning of meetings.
    • Live and champion the Aleris core values; Safety, Integrity, Customer Focus, Ownership, Excellence, and Teamwork
    • Provide the highest level of customer service to all assigned accounts and support co-workers with a broader base of customer accounts consistent with the Aleris Core Values. Demonstrate the ability to effectively and independently make decisions leading to the successful management of all accounts.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for the assigned customer base and develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers plus an intimate knowledge of each account and products.
    • Demonstrate positive, professional behavior toward your work, colleagues and management.
    • Consistently meet guidelines for contractual agreements within your customer base.
    • Accurately record bookings in production systems.
    • Proactively resolve any customer issues or concerns in a timely manner.
    • Anticipate, meet and/or exceed customers’ needs in order to maximize customer satisfaction. Promote a strong customer service image to our customers and other ARP divisions, within approved ARP guidelines.
    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities associated department processes.

    Required Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in high volume customer service/inside sales role or related field
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and organization skills
    • Ability to use computer applications, such as spreadsheets, word processing documents, databases, and e-mail programs
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated results

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business management or a related field
    • 2 years of experience in a metals-related business with a working knowledge of aluminum products
    • Oracle experience
