    Aleris is a global leader in the manufacture and sale of aluminum rolled products, with approximately 14 facilities in three geographically aligned business units in North America, Europe and China. We serve a variety of end-use industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, building and construction, transportation, packaging, and consumer goods.

     

    Our North America division is seeking to add a talented Supply Chain Analyst to its team at our Lewisport, Kentucky facility.  The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of activities associated with processing metal through tolling vendors for RPNA automotive body sheet business. This role uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support Supply Chain planning and operations.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Actively participate in maintaining a zero incident safety culture
    • Live and champion the Aleris core values; Safety, Integrity, Customer Focus, Ownership, Excellence, and Teamwork
    • Manage inventories and toll processors to meet customer expectations
    • Work with Inside Sales to translate customer forecast into effective inventory strategy
    • Plan and schedule orders at toll processors
    • Work with Corporate Logistics to move metal between tollers 
    • Maintain accurate order promise dates on orders at toll processors by tracking product flow from origin to final delivery
    • Analyze and reconcile all off site inventory associated with the Automotive program 
    • Contribute to the creation of the SOP as it relates to the off-site processors
    • Track, report, and analyze delivery performance of each processor
    • Communicate with and manage all aspects of relationships with processors including onboarding, EDI, reporting, and single point of contact
    • Enter and manage purchase orders for tolling services
    • Work effectively with teams to determine solutions to problems 
    • Assists with the development of standard work instructions and process workflows. Identifies and helps implement process improvement, including controls, where needed.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other related field  
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in plant operations or manufacturing setting.
    • High level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools such as Hyperion Business Intelligence and Tableau. 
    • Data cleansing and validation experience or the equivalent of 5 years business experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proven success at managing change and continuous-improvement programs
    • Ability to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner while building credibility and rapport
    • Ability to create positive energy (motivation) in both individuals and groups
    • Ability to listen well, present information clearly, write intelligently, and persuade others
    • Ability to be attentive to all aspects of the environment during routine activity and while working
