We serve a variety of end-use industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, building and construction, transportation, packaging, and consumer goods.


    Our North American division is seeking to add a talented Electrical Maintenance Technical Advisor to its Casting Maintenance team. The purpose of this role is to support maintenance staff in the cost effective sustainment and continual improvement of maintenance operations to reach maximum equipment capabilities, all while maintaining uncompromised employee safety.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Establish comprehensive procedures for all short and long-term maintenance work in order to increase equipment utilization and reduce downtime in the Casting area. 
    • Assist in diagnosing equipment malfunctions, determining possible causes, and identifying long-term resolutions for future prevention.
    • Develop and implement back-up plans and options for major equipment failures.
    • Advise on designing in inherent reliability of new equipment installations and redesigns.
    • Advise on designing in inherent safety of new equipment installations and redesigns.
    • Identify early non-conformance of maintenance practices.
    • Manage the maintenance planning and scheduling process to ensure it follows the Maintenance Process Flow Chart.
    • Manage, schedule and coordinate proactive, preventive maintenance outages to reduce unplanned downtime.
    • Maintain accurate records on all equipment in area of responsibility.
    • Monitor sustained maintenance work to ensure execution through Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis.
    • Monitor maintenance inventory stock items and “repairable” processing.
    • Manage maintenance planners to ensure maintenance planning goals & objectives are being met and that equipment reliability will support production goals.

    Required Qualifications

    • High School dipoloma or GED.
    • Minimum of five years electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment required.
    • 3+ years of PLC troubleshooting experience required.
    • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills required.  
    • Requires excellent planning and organization skills, as well as time management skills. 
    • Ability to engage, develop, and lead work groups to reach their maximum potential in achieving both short-term and long-term goals. 
    • Ability to create a cooperative, safe, and productive work environment. 
    • Ability to effectively coach employees.
    • Proficient in MS Office

     Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent strongly preferred.
    • Experience in the metals industry and with the Casting process preferred.
