  • Overview / Job Summary

    Aleris is a global leader in the manufacture and sale of aluminum rolled products, with approximately 14 facilities in three geographically aligned business units in North America, Europe and China. We serve a variety of end-use industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, building and construction, transportation, packaging, and consumer goods.

     

    Our Inside Sales team is seeking to add a talented Supply Chain/IS Planner to our Cleveland, Ohio office. This position will directly interface with both the Supply Chain and Inside Sales functions. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support, planning and data entry related to the production flow of materials at plant locations. This role will provide excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Actively participate in maintaining a zero incident safety culture.
    • Live and champion the Aleris core values; Safety, Integrity, Customer Focus, Ownership, Excellence, and Teamwork
    • Responsible for data entry tasks, including order entry, planning and coordinating of order flow at the plants, responding to all inquiries in a timely manner, monitoring and updating all systems
    • Performing procurement and inventory transactions
    • Promote strong customer service to our customers and other functions
    • Provide administrative support and assistance to the Supply Chain and Inside Sales team
    • Develop effective and professional relationships with Operations, Sales, Metals Purchasing, and outside processing business partners

    Required Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/GED
    • 1+years in data entry, supply chain, and sales administration
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
    • Strong computer proficiency required for Microsoft Office Suite applications
    • Solid data-entry skills with the ability to be detail-oriented

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in sales or a related field
    • 1+ years of experience in an Inside Sales or Customer Service related field
    • 1+ years of experience in a production and inventory planning-related field
    • Basic knowledge of operational and supply chain processes
    • Working knowledge of ERP and Legacy systems
    • Knowledge of tolling suppliers
