    Aleris is a global leader in the manufacture and sale of aluminum rolled products, with approximately 14 facilities in three geographically aligned business units in North America, Europe and China. We serve a variety of end-use industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, building and construction, transportation, packaging, and consumer goods.


    Our Inside Sales team is seeking to add a talented Inside Sales Coordinator to our Cleveland, Ohio office. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to all Aleris Rolled Products Marketing and Inside Sales groups, improve the profitability of our business relationships by effectively implementing the day-to-day transactions, and contribute to the achievement of strategic initiatives and objectives.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Adhere to all Health and Safety programs, including taking personal ownership over daily actions that drive to a zero (0) incident culture. Lead and participate in RPNA 6S Audits. Volunteer a safety contact at the beginning of meetings.
    • Live and champion the Aleris core values; Safety, Integrity, Customer Focus, Ownership, Excellence, and Teamwork
    • Provide administrative support to Inside Sales and Sales Operations including but not limited to order entry, order checking, filing, vacation coverage, debit/credit entry, claim entry, release of inventory, depot skid attachment, daily pick ticket/certification printing/faxing, and interface issue resolution.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the information systems used to execute and manage sales transactions (order entry system, credit memo system, claim entry system, etc.)
    • Prioritize activities to provide maximum benefit to Inside Sales and Sales Operations MRUs
    • Consistently and efficiently enter accurate orders relative to customers’ instructions and corporate guidelines at an accuracy rate of 99.8-100%
    • Resolve debits and outstanding credits in less than 15 days
    • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and all levels of the organization
    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities associated with Inside Sales processes
    • Participate in established training programs as designated by supervisory staff or identified by the Inside Sales Representative as self-improvement needs, desires, and opportunities
    • Anticipate, meet, and/or exceed customers’ needs in order to maximize customer satisfaction
    • Promote a strong customer service image to our customers and other ARP divisions within approved Aleris Rolled Products guidelines
    • Answers overload telephone calls in attempt to satisfy caller’s requests before passing to other Sales Representatives
    • Demonstrate positive, professional behavior toward your work, colleagues and management
    • Effectively communicate upwards, downwards, and laterally within Aleris

    Required Qualifications


    • High school diploma
    • 2+ years of experience in a complex administrative position with high-volume activities
    • Excellent order-entry skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy as well as organizational skills
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
    • Strong computer skills and the ability to operate efficiently in multiple systems (~7).
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to instill a sense of purpose and inspire action in others
    • Ability to provide analysis of observed and reported behaviors
    • Ability to develop a framework for ordering the future of flows of work in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness
    • Ability to solve problems while exhibiting judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved
    • Ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis and evaluation of alternatives. Ability to use logic, math, and other problem solving/data analysis tools to identify solutions
    • Ability to achieve results, manage multiple tasks and objectives, sequentially understand the social and technical change
    • Ability to present information clearly and persuasively
    • Willingness to challenge current paradigms



    • Associate’s degree in business or a related degree
    • Working knowledge of Oracle and JD Edwards programs
    • Knowledge of aluminum and or metals industry
